While each day is scheduled to maximize immersion in music, there is still plenty of time for outdoor activities and time to relax with your friends or just have fun.

Daily activities are programmed around musical instruction, camp-wide activities and social events as well as electives for outdoor activities or learning something new.

What you can expect each day at The BandCamp:

Two Major Rehearsals (Majors) each day with your full ensemble

Instrument specific Master Classes (Masters) for focused musical instruction once per day

Electives: Campers get to choose 3 of 5 electives and participate for the full 4 days:

Examples of possible electives are:

• Sport: Swim, Baseball, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball
• Nature: Hikes, Canoe, Camp Craft, Survival
• Art: Painting, Charcoal, Watercolours
• World Drumming (a special one day event)
• Conducting
• Leadership (required for those wishing to take on a Mentor/MIT [mentor-in-training] role for 2012)
